Check to make sure
that your CD-writer is correctly connected to your Macintosh system.
If you’re
using an internal CD-writer, check that the ribbon cable is firmly seated
onto the back of the CD-burner and that you have connected the power cable
to the CD-writer.
If you’re
using an external CD-writer, check that the data cable is firmly connected
to your Macintosh, and (the other end) to your CD-writer. With an external
SCSI CD-writer, you also need to make sure that the SCSI ID number is
set correctly, and that the SCSI termination is correct for your CD-writer.
Refer to the Owner’s
Manual supplied with your SCSI CD-writer for SCSI ID and SCSI termination
information.
